Compiled by the Iowa DNR Clear Lake The water temperature is in the upper 70’s. Walleye – Fair: Anglers are having success slip bobber fishing the rock reefs with a jig and leech and fishing under docks with a minnow. Channel Catfish – Good: Fish the windswept shore and rocky areas with cut bait or crawlers fished on the bottom. Yellow Bass – Fair: Fish the edge of vegetation in 4 to 6 feet of water with a small piece of crawler or leech. News Release More than half of Iowa farmland is rented. In some Iowa locations, as much as 70 percent of the land is farmed by farmers who don’t own the land. In Northeast Iowa, the result is many conversations and negotiations between farmland owners and producer-tenants to determine what makes sense for farmland leases and cash rental rates – both fixed rent and flexible arrangements. Sunday Weather: Storm cancels softball finales
UPDATE: With dark clouds closing in and the wind picking up around 4 p.m. Sunday the Charles City Youth Softball League cancelled the final two games of its tournament on Sunday. News Release outh Main Street closure delayed one week The planned street closure for South Main Street has been delayed one week and will now be closed from Parkside Lane to the Charley Western trail crossing starting July 8 due to the South Main Street asphalt overlay project.
