CHARLES CITY — The city’s spring clean up dates have been set for April 23, 24,25 and 26.The guidelines are the same as last year, according to a city news release. For all of the guidelines for the clean up, click here. Do not put out any items prior to April 21.  The main reason for this is to help reduce the possibility of rains soaking up the items and causing heavier loads to the landfill.  It will also help reduce the potential of items being strewn around the neighborhood prior to pickup. UPDATE: The Charles City Council on Monday approved a $1.85 million incentive package to assist Zoetis, Inc. with a $55 million expansion of its local plant. The local incentive is estimated at almost $1.85 million and would come in the form of an eight-year, 90 percent property tax rebate through the Southwest Bypass Tax Increment Financing District. Zoetis has also received state incentives.
