Nashua-Plainfield 62, Central Springs 59: The Huskies built a 12-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Panthers roared back giving themselves a shot at a last-second win.
A Huskies foul on an inbound pass by the Panthers put Central Springs at the charity stripe with 5.2 seconds left in the game and the Huskies clinging to a 61-59 lead. The first of possibly two free throws clanged off the rim, arching to the right where N-P’s Bo Harrington pulled in his ninth rebound and was fouled.
Harrington sank the first, but missed the second, which was rebounded by Central Spring’s Joey Marino with 3 seconds left. He drove about a quarter of the way up court before unleashing a desperation shot that clanked off the rim.
Marino scored 13 points for Central Springs. The team leaders, however, were Javont Froiland with 17 and Jacob Prymer with 13.
