The 10-point lead Charles City held about halfway through the 4th quarter had evaporated. With 1:27 left, it was a 4-point game and Mount Vernon was racing toward a breakaway basket. While Harrington’s performance helped the Huskies collect their sixth conference win of the season, it also put him within 16 of scoring his 1,000th career point. West Fork (6-1) beat Nashua-Plainfield 54-47 in Friday night’s game that was relocated from the WarHawks’ home to Nashua. A fire in West Fork’s shot clock forced the switch.
