Nashua woman pleads guilty to pantry burglary

A Nashua woman arrested last fall for burglarizing the Nashua Area Food Pantry has pleaded guilty in Chickasaw Count District Court and was sentenced to probation. Desteney Dawn Olson, 42, reached an agreement with prosecution to plead guilty to third-degree burglary (Class D felony). A misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief was dismissed. She was placed on two years of probation on a suspended prison sentence of up to 5 years and a suspended $1,025 fine plus $153.73 surcharge. Alabama man charged in New Hampton hotel sex abuse case

An Alabama man is in Chickasaw County jail accused of sexually abusing a woman in June at a New Hampton hotel. Quenton O’Neal Sanders, 32, of Marion, Alabama, is charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, in Chickasaw County District Court. He is accused of performing a sex act on a woman against her will around 9 a.m. June 11 at a hotel in New Hampton. Body of missing Fredericksburg woman found

FREDERICKSBURG, Iowa — The body of a missing Fredericksburg woman has been found. The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing woman last seen Friday evening in Fredericksburg. The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in finding Sheila Ludwig, 67. She was last seen Friday wearing dark gray sweatpants, a purple crew neck sweatshirt, and winter boots. She was diabetic and insulin dependent. “If you have not heard, the search has officially ended,” Fredericksburg Mayor Shain Kroenecke posted on the city’s Facebook page at about 11:30 a.m. Monday.
