For Oelwein, Garrett Kiel had 9 points, followed by Carter Jeanes (8), Terick Pryor (8), Conall Sauser (6), CJ Beatty (6), Brady Burkhart (3), Carson Cox (2) and Brock Steinlage (1). Pryor led the Huskies with nine of their 15 rebounds.

Oelwein 85, Denver 73: Oelwein came back from an 11-point deficit at halftime for the win. In the final frame, the Huskies outscored the Cyclones 26-9.

Sumner-Fredericksburg 38, Oelwein 34

The Huskies got off to a solid start by outscoring the Cougars 16-8 in the first quarter, but S-F climbed back for the 4-point win. Kallen Wilharm led S-F in scoring with 9 points. He wend 4-for-13 including a 3-pointer. Carson Cox led Oelwein with 9 points by going 3-for-5 on field goals and 3-for-5 on free throws.

Wapsie Valley 56, Jesup 54: Andrew Westpfahl led the Warriors with 20 points. Mason Harter had a double-double scoring 14 points and pulling in 17 rebounds.

Wapsie Valley 82, Riceville 47: Mason Harter led the Warriors by posting another double-double, scoring 26 points and pulling in 20 rebounds. Also scoring in double digits for WV were Andrew Westpfahl with 21 and Casey O’Donnell with 10.

Sumner-Fredericksburg 55, Columbus Catholic 47: S-F’s Tatum Nuss scored 23 points and Achilles Quigley had a double-double — 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Jesup 69, Oelwein 45: Jesup’s Jack Miller led all scorers with 24 points. Conall Sauser was Oelwein’s top scorer with 17.

Wapsie Valley 75, Union 57: WV’s Mason Harter scored 28 points and pulled down 19 rebounds. Andrew Westphal added 22 points.

Aplington-Parkersburg 81, Jesup 51: A-P’s Garrett Hempen scored 23 points to keep the Falcons undefeated at 4-0. Jack Miller and Cale Schissel each scored 14 for the J-Hawks, who are now 3-1.

Union 67, Sumner-Fredericksburg 53: Union’s Caden Sorenson lead all scorers with 21 points. S-F’s points leader was Jaxon Willems with 10. The Knights are now 4-1. The Cougars are 1-4.

Wapsie Valley 68, Oelwein 52: The Warriors led 37-13 at the half on the way to the home victory. WV’s Andrew Westpfahl had 19 points in the game to lead all scorers, while teammate Mason Harter dominated the boards with 30 rebounds. Conall Sauser led Oelwein with 15 points and 12 rebounds. WV improved to 2-1. Oelwein fell to 2-2.
