Rockford FFA’s Jayden Jorgenson is a State Fair Horse Champion, winning the Flag Race title. The FFA Horse Show judged Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the 2022 Iowa State Fair. Nashua-Plainfield FFA, meanwhile, placed 9th for the Equestrian Team Award. New Hampton FFA took 10th. Agri-power FFA of Eddyville was 1st. Diners will be able to sit down in restaurants in 77 of Iowa’s 99 counties starting Friday, according to Gov. Kim Reynolds’ latest proclamation regarding restrictions put on Iowans to slow the spread of the COVID-19 illness, Her proclamation also allows the reopening of fitness centers, malls, libraries, race tracks and stores that had been ordered closed as long as they operated at only 50 percent capacity and adhere to the Iowa Department of Public Health’s social distancing and hygiene guidelines. News Release DES MOINES – Upon discovery of the existence of substantial community spread of COVID-19 in the state, Gov. Next phase of Rockford streetlight project begins Friday, Aug. 10

ROCKFORD — The city of Rockford announced this week that the next phase of the Rockford Street Light Project begins Friday, Aug. 10. Four feet of sidewalk on the 100 block of West Main (both north and south sides) will be torn out and replaced. Matching antique light poles will be installed. Pros cleaning up storm damage at R-R-MR

ROCKFORD — Professionals are removing downed trees and cleaning up the Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock school campus, while programs have been moved off-site, according to a Facebook post by District administration. Rockford student among 5 killed in Mason City car crash

Remembrance service tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Mason City ROCKFORD — Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock student Sydney Nikole Alcorn, 14, is one of the five teenagers killed in an early morning car crash Monday, April 10. Floyd County Fair queen tied for state’s best high jump

  —- ROCKFORD — Spectators in Ames on March 13 saw royalty ascend to atop  Iowa’s high jump leaderboard. Alyssa Staudt of Rockford, the 2016 Floyd County Fair queen, is in a four-way tie for the best high jump by a girl in Iowa so far this season.
