Sign up for CC Girls’ City League Softball by April 12

CHARLES CITY — The deadline is coming up quickly to sign up girls to play in this year’s City League. Applications need to be turned in no later than April 12 to Stock Glass/Graphic Gallery in Charles City. It’s next to Subway across the street from the courthouse.  The $15 registration fee must be turned in with the application. Applications are available at Charles City schools and Stock Glass/Graphic Gallery. Practices might begin the week of May 7, according to the application. Nashua mayor: Rumor is wrong, the city is not broke

Nashua to rehire campground host

NASHUA – Brian Stillions received the nod to return this year as the Cedar View Campground in Nashua. He was the only applicant.  The City Council at its Monday, April 3, meeting unanimously approved his hiring. The camp host receives a free campsite. The host is paid commissions for maintenance work, however. The campground opens for the season Thursday, April 13.
