Comet boys basketball program offers spring and summer camps for young players

CHARLES CITY — Comet boys basketball coaches are building for the future with spring and summer camps for players as young as pre-kindergarten age.

Sign up for the camps at the website www.charlescitybasketballcamps.com. You can enter your email for updates on the camps. Sign up at least two weeks in advance to ensure getting the right T-shirt size.

The camps are:

AM Squad for middle school boys

Who: Grades 5-8, combined

When: 6:30-7:30 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays

Where: Charles City Competition Gym

Dates: May 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18

Cost: 6 sessions for $45, includes T-shirt

PRE-K-1ST BOYS SQUAD

Who: Boys in pre-kindergarten and grade 1

When: 5-6 p.m. Sunday April 30 and Sunday May 7

Where: Charles City Competition Gym

Cost: $25, T-shirt included

PM SQUAD – Elementary boys

Who: Boys in grades 2-4

When: Sunday, April 30, and Sunday, May 7

Where: Charles City Competition Gym

Cost: $35, includes T-shirt

SUMMER SCORING ACADEMY FOR BOYS

Who: First 40 boys entering grades 3-6 to sign up

When: 10 a.m. to noon, June 12, June 14 and June 16

Where: Charles City Competition Gym

Cost: $50 per boy

What: 3 on 3 tournament for boys and girls
Who: Girls and boys in grades 3-8

When: May 27
