
Nashua-Plainfield’s third day at the Iowa High School Track & Field Championships began with another record-breaking performance. Huskies sophomore Kadence Huck won the Class 1A girls 800m run with a personal best time of 2:11.75, another school record.
Later, Huck was 2nd in the 1500m run with a time of 4:35.44. Cal-Wheatland sophomore Noelle Steines took first with a state record time of 4:35.43.
The boys shuttle hurdle relay team of Kaden Wilken, Aiden Lamborn, Bo Harrington and Titus Evans finished 7th with a time of 1:02.13.
DAYS 1 & 2
On Day 1, Huck captured the 400m dash with a school record time of 55.94.
The boys 4x800m relay team of Harrington, Blanchard, Jase Hansen and Eli Kalainoff took 18th out of 24 with a time of 8:38.73.
The boys shuttle hurdle relay of Wilken, Lamborn, Harrington and Evans placed 5th in the prelims with a time of 1:01.54.
On Day 2, the girls distance medley relay team of Jordyn Frost, Ellie Eick, Jalissa White and Huck placed 4th with a time of 4:13.34.
Aiden Lamborn did not place in high jump.
Wilken ran a personal best time of 15.71 in the boys 110 hurdles to place 16th in the prelims.
The boys 4×400 relay team of Wilken, Lamborn, Harrington and Evans placed 22nd in prelims with a time of 3:39.50 as advancing to the finals today.
