Western Christian defeated Sumner-Fredericksburg 3-1 (21-25, 26-24, 25-24, 25-18) in the Class 2A quarterfinals on Tuesday at Xtreme Arena in Cedar Rapids.
According to to the IGHSAU broadcast team, Western Christian has made it to the State semifinals 23 consecutive years.
