The top two teams in each region advance to the regional finals. The top eight individuals (and those tied for 8th place) also advance to the region finals regardless if they are on a qualifying team or not.
A new rule this year regarding the first round allows the third-place team to advance to the finals as well if the host school (playing on their home course) finishes first or second place.
