Huskies fall in 2nd round of baseball playoffs

A 6-run sixth inning was too much for Nashua-Plainfield to overcome Wednesday night against East Buchanan.

The Buccaneers won 10-4 in the Class 1A Substate 3 District 5 second round game played at North Linn.

The Bucs (13-9) will play North Linn (25-4) in the next round on Saturday, July 8.

The Huskies (17-8) finished with their best season winning percentage, 0.680, since at least the 2006-07 season (16-1-5, 0.841), according to GoBound.com records.
