
Nashua-Plainfield’s girls placed sixth among the nine teams at the Top of Iowa Conference meet held Thursday in Nashua.
Osage took first with 146 team points, followed by Saint Ansgar (143), West Fork (96), Central Springs (92), Northwood-Kensett (89), Nashua-Plainfield (62), North Butler (47) Rockford (31) and Newman Catholic (28).
Sophomore Kadence Huck set conference records in the 400-meter dash at 57.36 and the 1500m at 4:59.34. She also finished first in the 800m run at 2:27.68.
Huck was also chosen at the TIC Girls Athlete of the Year.
The Huskies only other first-place finish was in the girls 1600m sprint medley. Jordyn Frost, Ellie Eick, Jalissa White and Huck finished at 4:30.04.
