Nashua AM Update (April 19): N-P girls golf wins home meet; boys track 5th at Comet Relays

Thursday: An 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 p.m. High near 62. Breezy, with a southeast wind 13 to 21 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

N-P VARSITY SCOREBOARD

• Girls golf: The Huskies won Tuesday’s meet at Nashua Town & Country Club with a team score of 213 followed by Central Springs (243) and Northwood-Kensett (243). Sophomores Faith and Paige Franzen tied for the 9-hole low, 51.

• Boys golf: N-P finished third at the Nashua Town & Country Club with a team score of 201. Central. Central Springs took first with 180. Northwood-Kensett was second with 191.

Boys track: The Huskies finished fifth as a team at Tuesday’s Comet Relays in Charles City. The 110 shuttle hurdle team of Kaden Wilken, Landon Foelske, Jase Hansen and Titus Evans took first with a time of 1:08.08

• Girls track: N-P was eighth at Tuesday’s Comet Relays. Kandace Huck won the 1500 with a time of 4:50.59, a personal record.
