ALMANAC: How much did it snow?
The National Weather Service released preliminary snowfall totals for April 16-17. The heaviest was in the east.
Going east to west, Elkader in Clayton County saw 8 inches, Wadena in Fayette County got 6 inches, Fredericksburg received 3.5 inches and the west side of Nashua saw 1 inch.
