N-P track teams soar at home invite

Nashua-Plainfield’s boys track and field team handily won its half of the co-ed home invitational on Tuesday, while the girls grabbed second place.

N-P’s boys captured first with 161 team points followed by Central Springs (116), Northwood-Kensett (65), Janesville (61), Clarksville (54), Dunkerton (54), Turkey Valley (49) and Riceville (28).

Northwoods-Kensett took first among the girls teams with 112 followed by N-P (87), Clarksville (80), Central Springs (74), Janesville (59), Turkey Valley (58), Dunkerton (57) and Riceville (48).

INDIVIDUAL N-P RESULTS

1st place boys

• Freshman Navarii Williams won the 100m dash with a time of 12.02, breaking the Nashua Invite record of 12.9 set in 2021 by Brayden Pinske of Central Springs.

• Senior Kaden Wilkins ran his personal best time to win the 110m hurdles, 16.15.

• Senior Aiden Lamborn won the 200m dash with a 24.03. He also had the best high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches, eclipsing the invite record of 5-8 set in 2021 by Gabe Heideman of Dunkerton.

• Senior Bo Harrington won the 400m run with a time of 53.91, breaking the invite record of 54.92 set in 2021 by N-P’s Derik Auchstetter.

Wilken, Lamborn, freshman Landon Foelske and junior Titus Evans won the 400m shuttle hurdle relay in 1:05.67.

1st place girls

• Sophomore Kadence Huck won the 400m run with a time of 1:00.26. She also won the 800m and 1500m runs with personal best times of 2:20.39 and 5:02.81, respectively. She reset the invite’s records in all three events.

• Junior Jordyn Frost won the high jump with 4 feet, 7 inches, topping the invite’s record of 4-6 set in 2021 by Central Springs’ Emme Dietrich.

Frost, sophomore Marleigh Lowe, 9th-grader Jalissa White, and junior Ellie Eick won the 1600m distance relay with a time of 4:50.85.

Frost, Eick, White and Huck won the 4x400m relay with 4:29.60, breaking the invite record set in 2021 by N-P.
