Nashua AM Update (Feb. 13): Boys basketball playoffs begin this week

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 31. South wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Tuesday: Rain likely, mainly after 9 a.m. High near 45. Windy, with a southeast wind 14 to 19 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph.

HUSKY WRESTLERS HEADING TO STATE

Thirteen members of the Nashua-Plainfield boys wrestling team qualified on Saturday for the State Traditional Tournament: are Jaydan Rinken (106), Nic Brase (113), Hayden Munn (120), Garret Rinken (126), Kendrick Huck (132), Kaden Wilken (138), Jackson Carey (152), Eli Kalainoff (160), Titus Evans (170), Tate White (182), Aiden Sullivan (195), Jackson Zwanziger (220) and Landon Pratt (285). N-P GIRLS BASKETBALL SEASON ENDS

The Nashua-Plainfield girls basketball season ended in Dunkerton in the Class 1A, Region 6, first round. The Raiders (10-12) won 43-37. Kadence Huck led the Huskies with 13 points, followed by Jalynn Pratt (8), Paige Franzen (6), Kendall Bailey-Pint (5), Bailey Fisher (3) and Myranda Webster (2). The Huskies finished their season with a 5-17 overall record.

Nashua-Plainfield (11-10) at Waterloo Christian (14-7), 7 p.m.

Kee, Lansing (7-14) at Wapsie Valley (17-4), 7 p.m.

The winners will play each other at 7 p.m., Feb. 16, at Wapsie Valley High School.

Clarksville (9-12), at Maquoketa Valley (14-7), 7 p.m.

East Buchanan (10-11) at Turkey Valley (13-8), 7 p.m.

The winners will play each other at 7 p.m., Feb. 16, at Maquoketa Valley High School.
