Charles City bowlers led by top scorers Macy Ross and Hunter Brockney defeated Sumner-Fredericksburg Friday night at the Comet Bowl.
Ross led the Comet girls to a 2,777 to 2,046 match victory.
Ross had a two-game series score of 470 by rolling two 235 games. She had the top score of all girls and boys at the match.
Maddie Ross rolled a 364 series, followed by Baili Girkin (352), Katie Sickman (344), Sara Mitchell (338) and Aryah Nelson (305).
Charles City won four of five baker games to take the round.
The boys varsity squad won by a match total of 3,047 to S-F’s 2,277.
Brockney rolled a two-game total of 464, followed by teammates Kaleb Ross (443), Nathan Schultz (414), Noah Reams (358), Cade Schmidt (352) and Kale Ross (282).
No members of S-F broke 300 in two games.
The Comet boys won three of the five baker games to take the round 1,018 to 861.
The JV boys beat S-F in their match 2,451 to 1,810.
Koyer Kellogg led the Comets with a two-game score of 365, followed by Garrett Gerlott (362), Nicholas Roney (339), Wolfgang Baldus (322), Colton Baldus (305) and Nathan Girkin (288).
The Comets won the of the five baker games to take the round 758-669.
The JV girls won 2,299 to 1,387.
They were led by Joslyn Cotton with a two-game series of 333, followed by Faith Fannon (329), Brianna Ross (306), Lily Usher (287), Abby Hilligas (276) and Jayden Hedgvedt (276).
