Floyd County Farm to Fork Dinner is Sunday, Sept. 24

The Floyd County Farm to Fork Dinner will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Wildwood Wildwood Golf Course.

A ticket is $35 and includes your 5-course meal and wine. Purchase your tickets in person at the Charles City HyVee Customer Service desk OR stop at the Floyd County Farm Bureau office in Charles City.

Organizers describe the event this way: “Savor the flavor of farm fresh foods! Join us for a unique dining experience at the Wildwood Golf Course Social Hall. Enjoy the company of neighbors and friends while connecting with the Floyd County farmers who grew the products featured in this five-course Farm to Fork meal.”

The night’s schedule:

5 p.m. —Appetizers and wine
5:30 p.m. — Evening meal begins

The menu:

  • Appetizer: Mediterranean Cucumber Salad served in a Wonton Cup
  • Soup: Autumn Squash Soup with Parmesan Crisps
  • Salad: Chef Ted’s Asian Vinaigrette over Mixed Greens and Fresh Vegtable Chop
  • Entree: Black Angus Steak with Herbed Butter and Red Wine Reduction and Toso Baked Potato
  • Dessert: Chunky Apple Compote Tart with Autumn Spiced Fresh Whipped Topping
