The Nashua City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Aside from financials and minutes, the consent agenda includes:
- Building permits for 45 Merrill St. and 705 Lexington
- A fireworks permit for 304 Sample St.
In other action, the Council plans to:
- Set hearings regarding deeming a pet dog as a dangerous animal and action the city will take.
- Vote on a pay increase for an employee attaining a commercial drivers license.
- Vote on listing a dump truck for sale via an auction site.
- Approve the fiscal year 2022-23 Street Finance Report
- Approve permits for 200 and 208 Charles City Rd.
Topics in the Park Board monthly report will include a trees grant, Water Over the Dam Days 2.0 and band shell rentals.
A topic of the Welcome Center monthly report will be air conditioning.
There will also be monthly reports from the Ambulance and Library Board.
The Fire Department will deliver its July incidents report.
Discussion and action items on the agenda include:
- The waiver of service fees
- Parking at the beach
- Zade’s pay/promotion
- Community visioning
- A 28E agreement with the Nashua Rural Fire Company
- Formal approval to purchase skid loader tires
- Replace or remove D.A.R.E sign
- Barricade and block options for Woodbridge Street
- Street closure for 217 Livingston estate auction
- Approval to Apply for Community Forestry Grant Program
- LED lighting
- Nuisance properties and 657A
- Powering Affordable Clean Energy (PACE) and Empowering Rural America New ERA program
- Trailer park service fees and meter fee
- Billing for water usage that doesn’t utilize sewer
- Backflow/cross connection verbiage added to water service ordinance
- Putting something in writing for pay increase levels for water/wastewater certification levels
- An employment policy on continuation of coverage after retirement
- Installing a culvert for the remainder of Charles City Road
- Spraying weeds
The Council could possibly hold a closed session regarding the dam and the EPA.
