Nashua-Plainfield has reached double-digit wins for the season as they barrel toward a showdown with the conference leader.
The Huskies (10-3) defeated Northwood-Kensett, 12-1 in five innings at Stan Burkle Field behind a seven strikeout performance by junior Tucker Franzen. He gave up two hits and 1 earned run.

The Huskies jumped to a 7-0 lead in the 1st inning, scoring 2 more in the 3rd and 3 in the 4th.
Huskies Bo Harrington and Landon Pratt were perfect at the plate, each going 3-for-3. Harrington batted in 3 runs, scored 2 and hit a triple. Pratt had 1 RBI, scored 2 runs and hit a double.
Eli Kalainoff had another productive night going 2-for-3, diving in 3 runs and personally making it home 3 times.
Kaden Wilken hit a 2-run single and scored a run.
Dawson Glaser, Kendrick Huck, and Franzen each had 1 RBI.
N-P is on a three-game winning streak. The Huskies beat West Fork 17-0 on Friday and Rockford 18-0 on Monday.
They will travel to Janesville (7-5) for a 5 p.m. game on Thursday and then to Mason City on Friday to take on Top of Iowa Conference leader Newman Catholic (18-2) at 7:30 p.m. The Knights are also ranked No.1 in Class 2A in the Iowa High School Coaches Association’s weekly poll.
