Good morning, it’s Tuesday, June 6, 2023, the 79th anniversary of D-Day. On this date in 1944 during World War II, American, British and Canadian soldiers stormed Omaha Beach, beginning liberation of Normandy, France, from Nazi forces.

WEATHER FORECAST

Today: A 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
The haze from the wildfire smoke over the last couple of days will be on its way out and may linger for some into the afternoon.

Tonight: A 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. East wind around 10 mph.
