Girls golf 3rd at conference meet; Franzen takes 1st

After 18 holes, one stroke separated 1st and 4th place in individual competition at the Top of Iowa Conference Meet on Monday in Mason City.
Nashua-Plainfield sophomore Paige Franzen and North Butler juniors Reagan Mulder and Ella Lindell tied for 1st by shooting 91. N-P sophomore Faith Franzen shot a 92 to take 4th.
North Butler won the team title with a 383, followed by Newman Catholic (388), N-P (408), Osage (426), West Fork (449), Saint Ansgar (454), Central Springs (460), Northwood-Kensett (467) and Rockford (538).
N-P senior Autumn Nelson placed 11th with a 104, followed by teammates junior Natalie Sinnwell (18th, 121), Ellie Woodman (22nd, 135) and junior Payton Howland (25, 154).

Boys golf place 5th at conference golf meet
Sophomore Dawson Glaser finished highest for Nashua-Plainfield at the Top of Iowa Conference meet on Monday at Round Grove Golf and Country Club in Greene. As a team, the Huskies took 5th place with 381.
Glaser was 15th individually with a 91 from 18 holes, followed by teammates junior Wyatt Boullion (22nd, 94), freshman Tyler Zimmer (24th, 95), sophomore Ty Berger (26th, 101), freshman Devon Blanchard (36th, 106) and sophomore Levi Callahan, 37th, 107).
Osage won the meet with a score of 313 followed by West Fork (344), Rockford (356), North Butler (360), N-P, Northwood-Kensett (383), Central Springs (390), Newman Catholic (403) and Saint Ansgar (410).
