Tonight: Snow likely after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Southeast wind 6 to 13 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Winter storm watch (3 a.m., Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday): A winter storm will bring accumulating snow, possibly heavy, to much of the area late Wednesday night through Thursday evening. Confidence is increasing in a heavy snow band of 6 or more inches from central into southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa.
