Nashua logo contest headed for a runoff

The vote for a new city logo for Nashua is heading for a runoff.

The Big 4 Chamber of Commerce held a logo design contest in December, putting out a call to the general public for new logos for the city. Val Johnson from the chamber attended Monday’s Nashua City Council meeting and gave an update.

The Chamber asked people to vote for their favorite design via Facebook. Only one vote separated the top two designs, Johnson said, according to meeting minutes.

She asked the council if it would be OK with her taking the two designs to school and have the students vote for their favorite. The council supported the idea.

The Chamber announced on its Facebook page Tuesday morning that there will be a runoff to choose the winning logo.

“We’re ironing out some details and once complete we’ll post the instructions for the runoff! Thank you All!” the post says.
