Good morning, Charles City area readers. It’s Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, and here are some local news nuggets
1. Warm and breezy today and tonight — Today will be sunny, with a high near 75, with a south wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon, the National Weather Service says. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 53. Breezy, with a south wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
2. CCHS students to present fall musical this week — The Charles City High School Drama Department will give four performances of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” beginning Thursday night at The Charles Theatre downtown. The musical is based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schulz. Buy tickets at cchsdrama.ludus.com or in person at Rustic Corner during business hours. The show times are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Adult admission is $12. Student admission is $5.
