Iowa has experienced 271 deaths because of COVID-19, as of Sunday night. In that total is one person from Floyd County.

The Floyd County Department of Public Health on Monday announced the death of a person who was at least 81 years old. The government does not release more details about individual deaths.

Iowa now has confirmed 12,373 cases of COVID-19, with 5,249 confirmed recoveries. Floyd County has only five confirmed cases.
