PARKERSBURG — Charles City placed fourth in the 12-team Keith Vry Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday, Dec. 14.

The top three teams were Don Bosco with 308.5 points, Crestwood, Cresco (207.5) and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows (163.5). Charles City has 157 points.

Elliot Sinwell at 170 was the only Charles City wrestler to place 1st in his weight class. After a first round by, Sinnwell won by an 11-1 major decision over Meirick Huffman of Osage.

In the semifinal, Sinnwell won by a 10-3 decision over Cael Ahrens of Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.

In the 1st place match Sinnwell pinned Fischer Ohrt of Don Bosco at 3:37.
