STATE TRACK: Riceville’s Marr wins Class 1A shot put title; North Butler’s Heeren 10th

DES MOINES — Junior Abby Marr, Riceville, won the Class 1A girls shot put championship with a put of 40 feet, 8.5 inches Thursday morning in Drake Stadium. She was seeded 10th in Flight 2.

North Butler senior Nicole Heeren placed 10th with a put of 36 feet, 2.75 inches.
