Newman Catholic takes first in Top of Iowa East Division; N-P’s Trost named coach of the year

ST. ANSGAR — The Newman Catholic girls took first at the Top of Iowa Conference East Division Girls Golf Tournament held Monday, May 7, at Acorn Park in St. Ansgar.

The meet medalist was Paige Walker of Newman Catholic with a 92. Abby Murray of Rockford was runner-up with a 95.

Peyton Olson of Newman was named Player of the Year.

The Coach of the Year is Nashua-Plainfield’s Jeff Trost.
