CC Chamber of Commerce and Community Revitalization news release

Volunteers are the heart and soul of any community, and Charles City will honor some of its best on Friday, April 27, at the annual Community Volunteer Recognition Event.

The public is invited and encouraged to come show their support and appreciation at the Charles City Senior Center from 8-9 a.m. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. with a light breakfast offered. Tickets are $5 and available at the door or in advance at the Community Development Office, 401 North Main St.

Hosted by the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce and Community Revitalization, this event serves as the annual unveiling of the Man of the Year and Woman of the Year, as well as Community Revitalization’s Volunteer of the Year. The ceremony is open to all non-profit organizations in town, as well, and will feature presentations by the community schools, P.A.W.S., The Senior Center, TLC: The Learning Center and the Foster Grandparent Program.
