CHARLES CITY — A construction permit for a new hog facility, the county engineer’s contract, and a closed session about litigation are on the agenda for a special meeting Monday of the Floyd County Board.
County supervisors will begin their day in a special meeting with the Chickasaw County Board at 10 a.m. in the Chickasaw County Courthouse in New Hampton. The counties are partners in a contract to employ Dustin Rolando as the engineer for both. Supervisors will discuss his contract for fiscal year 2018.
The Floyd County Board will reconvene at 12:30 p.m. in the Floyd County Courthouse. The agenda includes a liquor license application for Cedar Ridge Golf Course and setting a public hearing for a K & K Hogs, LLC construction permit application for two new 2,498-head deep pit swine finisher confinement buildings for a new swine confinement facility.
Supervisors also will discuss setting county standards for item 37 in the Master Matrix that contains an applicant’s worker safety and protection plan.
At 1 p.m. the board will go into closed session “to discuss strategy with counsel on matters of litigation. It will come out of closed session to take action.
