NASHUA, Iowa — As it gets warmer thoughts turn to music, fun, food and mud. Water Over the Dam Days will be Thursday, June 22 to Sunday, June 25. This year’s casino-centered theme is “What Happens in Nashua … Stays In Nashua.” Organizers are taking nominations for Water Over The Dam Days Parade Grand Marshals. Nashua to rehire campground host

NASHUA – Brian Stillions received the nod to return this year as the Cedar View Campground in Nashua. He was the only applicant.  The City Council at its Monday, April 3, meeting unanimously approved his hiring. The camp host receives a free campsite. The host is paid commissions for maintenance work, however. The campground opens for the season Thursday, April 13. Raymond William Buchholz age 95 of Nashua, Iowa, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Faith United Church of Christ In Tripoli with Rev. Pagel, 83, of Nashua, Iowa, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton.  Interment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua with Russ Schmidt, Randy Strabula, Bruce Bruns, Bruce Becker, and Dan Zwanziger serving as pallbearers.
