Fans cheer on CC girls basketball in playoff loss

It began with the Comet families. “Let’s go Comets” Three claps with the chant. “Let’s go Comets!” More voices, more claps. It was the fourth quarter and the game was out of reach by more than 20 points. Waverly-She’ll Rock (16-6) went on to win the Class 4A Region 5 quarterfinal 62-25. Charles City’s season ended with a 2-19 record. But the Charles City student section joined in, and in that moment the game seemed much closer. The Comets continued to battle.
