Regional softball playoff pairings announced

On Friday, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union announced pairings for the regional playoffs.

These Class 1A Region 6 first-round games will be played at 7 p.m Friday, June 30:

• Nashua-Plainfield at North Butler: The winner will head to Mason City to play Newman Catholic at 7 p.m. July 5.
• Rockford at Saint Ansgar: The winner will travel to Riceville for a 7 p.m. July 5 game against the Wildcats.
