On March 23, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle accident southwest of Oelwein on 10^th St. and Q Avenue. Once Deputies arrived it was learned that Nicole Reaves, 31 of Fairbank was driving on 10^th St. east bound in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado when she rear-ended a silver 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Aubrey Heinze, 28, of Oelwein. Heinze was attempting to turn northbound on Q Avenue when Reaves rear ended the Jeep. Reaves was cited for following too closely. Both vehicles are considered total losses. Only minor injuries were reported the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Oelwein Police Department and Mercy One Ambulance out of Oelwein.
