Oelwein Community Schools

Julie Leisinger resigned from two advisor positions at the high school — Business Professionals of America and the Annual.

“I appreciated the opportunity to expand our students’ knowledge base in the digital and technical aspects in both of these clubs as they pursue their career goals after they graduate high school,” she wrote in her letter of resignation.

Ziana Glew resigned as the Wings Park Elementary custodian after accepting a job offer at East Penn. He last day with the school district will be Friday, March 10

Elizabeth Zaruba resigned from her food service position.

Annessa Goodpaster was hired as a Little Husky associate.

Dorene Roberts was hired as head cook at Little Husky for remainder of the school year.

Jim Yokas was hired for second semester driver’s education.

Marlys Boleyn’s daily shift in food service increased from 3.5 to 6 hours.

Dorene Roberts food service hours increased from 6 hours per day for 9 months to 7 hours per day for 12 months

Jaida Houge was approved as a substitute teacher and a substitute paraeducator.

Amanda Becker, Jessica Buckman and Morgan Pentecost were approved as substitute associates.

Karen Tipton was approved as a food service substitute.

WEST CENTRAL COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

Rob Busch was hired as the shared superintendent of Starmont and West Central starting July 1. An agreement between the district says the intent is for him to provide superintendent services to Starmont for 60% of his time and to West Central for 40%. His base salary is $145,000.

April Estling resigned from kitchen staff.

Chris Sniffin resigned as custodian.

Denise Menne resigned as the middle school English language arts teacher.

Seth Reinking resigned as assistant track coach.

Deana Schlitter resigned as assistant softball coach.

Robin Fliehler was hired as mentor to Micah Ruroden.

Mike Sass was hired as head boys golf coach.

Jamie Vargason was hired as boys track head coach.

Sarah Michels was hired as an assistant girls track coach.

Tom Wilwert was hired as an assistant boys track coach.

Brad Wild was hired as head softball coach.

Brenda Helmuth was hired as an assistant softball coach.

Lyle Buehler was hired as an assistant softball coach (pending coaching authorization).

Laura Giberson resigned as Readlyn library associate effective March 3.

Haley Tiedt resigned as business education teacher, CAPS instructor,
yearbook coordinator, Leader In Me action team member, junior high cross country coach and high school golf coach, effective at the end of the school year.

Leslie May resigned as as instructional associate effective March 6.
