Jeanes leads Huskies with 169 all-purpose yards, plus 1 passing and 1 rushing TD
Oelwein rushed its way to a Homecoming victory over Jesup on Friday, 36-20. As a team, the Huskies piled up 386 yards and four touchdowns on 52 carries.
The Huskies improved to 2-2. Jesup fell to 1-3.
Senior quarterback Carter Jeanes ran nine times for 102 yards, including a 34-yard touchdown sprint. He also completed three passes for 67 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown to freshman Hayden Tripp. He threw one interception.
Sophomore Brandon Tournier had 144 yards on 20 carries with a 10-yard touchdown.
Junior Ethan Detemmerman had 62 yards on eight carries with a 13-yard touchdown.
Junior Josh Ladeburg ran for 35 yards on six carries, including a three-yard touchdown.
Junior Caden Palmer had eight carries for 43 yards.

Clarksville 68, West Central 32
The Blue Devils and Indians traded touchdowns in the first quarter of Clarksville’s Homecoming game. But West Central fumbles helped Clarksville to build a 40-20 halftime lead.
The loss was West Central’s first of the season. The Blue Devils are now 4-1.
West Central quarterback Brooks Ingels threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Brandon Cushion ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Jayden Rouse had three catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns. John Tyler had three catches for 89 yards including a 21-yard touchdown.
Sumner-Fredericksburg 66, Postville 0
The Cougars scored 39 points in the first quarter. They finished with 188 rushing yards and 92 passing. S-F is now 3-1.
Wapsie Valley 42, AGWSR 14
The Warriors had a 21-8 lead at halftime. AGWSR didn’t get its second score until the 4th quarter.
Wapsie Valley quarterback Casey O’Donnell threw for two touchdowns and also scored a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Mason Harter (5 yards) and Braden Knight (20 yards) caught the passing scores.
Knight also rushed for a 48-yard touchdown.
Traeton Saurbrei scored two rushing touchdowns (15 and 7 yards).
The Warriors are now 2-2. AGWSR falls to 3-1.
