Alex was born on November 20, 1997 to Travis and Julie (Rowley) Wiebke in Dubuque, IA. He grew up in Dubuque until age 9, then moved to Britt/Belmond, IA and attended schools until his family moved to Mason City, where he graduated in 2016.
He was an active member of Rhythm Church in Mason City and also a member of Youth for Christ. Attending church was very important to him. Alex had aspirations of someday becoming a military chaplain but unfortunately he exceeded their maximum height requirement. Alex stood at 7 ft and 3 in tall; which he was extremely proud of. Although he was built to play football, Alex was opposed to hurting anyone. He was described as a “gentle giant,” because of his warm soul and kind heart.
Alex had a very close relationship with his niece, Nehryah and loved to snuggle with her. He also loved his pets: dog, Jantts and cat, Onyx. In his free time he enjoyed bowling and shooting pool. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Alex had a hidden talent of playing his ukulele; which was special to him.
He was preceded in death by several great-grandparents; niece, Aryanna Wiebke and nephew, Troy Jr. Wiebke.
In expression of sympathy memorials may be directed to the Alex Wiebke Memorial Fund.
