CHARLES CITY, Iowa — Thousands of the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa riders will stop overnight in Charles City on Wednesday, July 26.

The next morning, the bicycle tour heads into more hilly terrain beyond Charles City.

So, focusing on Wednesday also being known as “hump day,” the Charles City RAGBRAI executive committee announced the local theme will be “Last Hump Before The Hills.”

Charles City radio station KCHA reported Wednesday that executive committee member Cory Mutch designed the logo after much discussion.
