NASHUA — The smoke, a tan cloud with a darker center, billowed the west of Nashua Tuesday afternoon from a controlled burn of pasture land. Farther west, another smoke plume arose. Another burn to clear away dead grass and weeds to make room for new growth without the unwanted weeds. Burns will be a common sight spring is in full swing.
