Oelwein softball wins in Maynard

It was a bookend type of win for Oelwein softball Wednesday in Maynard.

The Huskies scored 1 run in the opening inning and 4 more in the final frame, the seventh, to win 5-0 over West Central.

The Huskies (9-13) have now matched last season’s win total. West Central fell to 4-18.
